head banging moment... evil sabotaging essential oil

I am very new and green to soaping...
Had my first head banging on the wall moment tonight when I finally cottoned on to what was turning my thin trace batter into mashed potato style batter in a matter of 10 to 15 seconds...
The gosh darn it evil little creature called sweet orange essential oil...
And it took me 3 batches over 3 weeks to work it out.
I was stumped as to why one second I have just finished mixing in one of my favourite scents turn my back on it to get the molds lined up turn back and BAM mashed potato anyone ???
So 3 batches later of spooning in and attempting to smooth it into something resembling soap I now know to NOT use my orange oil anyone kind enough out there who will warn me on other essential oils that are likely to drive me mad in the same manner ? Thanks.
