Okay so this is totally non soap related but since this section is called 'How's the weather' I felt a strong urge to tell everyone about our Brisbane / Sunshine Coast weather... IT'S CRAP!!! It has been raining for the last couple of weeks and my newly planted fruit tree garden (planted this winter) plus other gardens are flooding! I'm so sad... I hope none of my trees die Sad
We've had about 300mm (yes 30cm) of rain here in the last week.

How is everyone else going?? Any other Brisbanites?

tbh I've kind of been unaware of the weather up there until today a few friends have posted photos on facebook... insane! We've had gorgeous spring weather the last few days so it's hard to imagine that it's raining so much anywhere else!

Missnatty, surely your neighbour's drainage is illegal??? We too have been outside digging trenches in the rain. We are on 3/4 acre and the back of our yard has a large drain so we are digging everything to there. I hope it stops soon. I shouldn't complain though. Lots of people have had damage to their houses which is sad.

Oh and don't get me started on vegie gardens!! I love them. We have 2 x 12m x 1.5m beds and then our fruit tree garden which is about 20m x 15m which ends up growing our spreading vines as well like melons, sweet potato, pumpkin etc. I love lavender too but they are some of the plants that probably won't survive this wet. I have roses and lavender planted around the fruit tree garden and they are just in pure mud and they don't like wet feet.
