It doesn't look like anyone has been on the forum for a while .. but here I am anyway ! My name is Elaine and I have been making soaps for a few months now - and loving it ! It is amazing how soap making can really grab you - who would have thought it ! I have been making Aromatherapy products for years and years but the soap thing is relatively new to me ! I am a fully qualified Aromatherapist and Herbalist living in Sydney ...

HI
I am Bel from Country Belle Soaps and I don't think this site gets used much now. I did email the moderators but didn't get any response. I don't know why it is not used.

Hello
Hi Bel,
There is so much help you can get from any of the United States soap sites that I really think it's such a shame for us here in Aussie Land. I've been waiting (here I go again!!!!).......looking........searching......for a forum that can help everyone making soap should they be a beginner or advanced soapmaker, there's always something new.
I just placed an order, which was our first and as you can imagine for our first order it was a lot, but I had to end up phoning the website/supplier ended up the first time leaving a message asking about my order (??), not getting a reply, phoning again finally speaking to someone who apologized and said the order would be sent - I deposited the payment directly to their bank account, phoned and (yep!!) left a message again saying payment made etc. could my order be send this afternoon and could someone phone me back to confirm, well I'm still waiting for that confirmation. I'd love to find another supplier for the base oils but don't know where to find them and I'm sure there's somewhere cheaper!!!!
Anyway, I'm off downstairs to make some massage bars. I got some peppermint oil and basil oil today and I've heard that's good for migranes. My email address is aponi_1 -at- bigpond -dot- com is you would ever like to email me.
New members aren't allowed to post "links" for up to 7days, so I'm sure you can work out my email address (??)
Cheers

Re: Hi there !
I get some of my oils from Range Products and they are pretty good, also Aussie Soap Supplies are excellent suppliers. For my olive oil, I contacted a local supplier direct and was able to buy at a good price (cheaper than supermarkets) and it was organic which is exactly what I wanted. Other than the delays in postage/freight, so far my deliveries from America have all been good. Bel
