absolutely every recipe you make should be run through a soap making calculator such as [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. Even if you have found the recipe on a website or in a book, double check it just in case there's a typo!

I just posted this in another thread, but thought I'd add it here: Aussie Soap Supplies Oil Properties list - with a bit about how each oil works and suggested usage levels. Doesn't cover every oil I've ever heard of, but it's pretty good.
