Hello soapers,
My name is Michael. I have wanted to make my own soap since I found some handmade soap in a small shop in Apollo Bay. It is just the best soap for shaving with and contains nothing I can't pronounce. I did some research on the net and found some recipes, soap making directions and this forum. Today I made my first batch from a "grocery store" recipe. I have watched a couple of how to videos so armed with a little knowledge and a lot of excitement I gave it a go. It all seemed to go well, I got it to a medium trace in about 5 mins, The recipe I used makes about 6 bars as I didn't want to get too ambitious the first time. Now I have to wait for it to cure, this has to be the hardest part. Looking forward to hearing from other members
